Well another episode if finally here!

It is pretty simple, we review 1408, Wicked Little Things, and The Abandoned, all of which we saw months and months ago and hardly remember.

We have music from Jon Bovi (hehehe), The Solidarity Notes Labour Choir, The New Dress, Gallows, The Horrors, and Billy Bragg.

Check it out, have fun, shoot us a damn e-mail or something...

And yes Doyle, even though we didn't mention you, you won the last episode's contest, we'll talk about it next time.

Peace out.

Its about God Damn Time!

Finally a new episode of Punk Horror Podcasts.  This time we have a tale about the evolution of the reality game show from Punk Horror Co-Founder Gabriel LLanas.

We won't talk about it to much because I'm sure that you just want to get to the podcast, but I bet you would like to know that Gabriel's first novel Oh, Ragnarok, just came out from Wild Child Publishing.  He would love for you to read it and send him hate mail.

Well on with the story.

As we try desperately to keep to something even remotely looking like a schedule we have for you episode seven of The Punk and The Pastor.  Starting off with a little ditty from Hans Zimmer that it is almost necessary to put in front of our podcast.  Then we move on to the dulcet tones of Kiss, Kiss with their song “Machines.â€?  Then we get into a discussion of 28 Weeks Later.

Following that up we drop a song from the SUBS, they are from Beijing China, and this is their song, “What More.â€?  It may ore may not be in English.  Not to sure on that one.  Then we talk about The MANITOU (all caps just for Stacey).  Then follow that up with a song from I Want To Kill You.  It is their happy tune called “Drawn and Quartered at Gun Point.â€?

After that we get into a little teaser of our next episode by talking about the films of Stephen King, which is in turn followed by a song from some of the godfathers of punk T.S.O.L.  called “Terrible People.â€?

We get into some letters, play a song by The Chariot called “The Company, The Comfort, The Grave.â€?  Then we talk about what we are going to watch next month, and we play you out to a bad ass tune called “Shirt of My Backâ€? by Synthetic Elements, the head liner for our first ever podcast concert.  Good stuff.

Great stuff from the fiction ranks again.  This time we have a doozie of a story from Stephen M. Wilson, called Betty Rage.  He is poetry editor of Doorways Magazine amongst a bunch of other things.  And the best part it is set to music!  Be sure to check this one out!!

It's been a while so we have a big show for you this time.

An extensive discussion on Grindhouse, the opus from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.

We weren't liking Idoa so much so we are scrapping that and just finding music from all over the place.  But trust me the music has stayed independent and great.  And this episode has tons of it.  Red Knife Lottery with their song So Much Drama.  The Color of Money with Kelli Phornia.  Unit 6 with their song Throwdown.  You Say Party!  We Say Die!  with their tune Like I Care.  Satanic Surfers with Callousness.  Romeo Liquor Store with their song Discoteka de los Muertos, and a little bit of MJ.

We also argue about the whole horror vs. thriller thing some more.  You would think that we would get over it by now, but no.

We know you have been waiting for the new episode of Author Read Fiction. I'm telling you right now that it was worth the wait. This month we have fiction from Cari Beltane. Cari is a working-class rabbit mama, experimental and horror fiction maker, performance artist, activist for justice – especially for anyone with four legs, and an exceptional vegan chef. She read an excerpt from her forthcoming bizarro novel Shrink.

Cari will also be coming out with a collection of bizarro poetry and fiction from Punk Horror Press, and we are always proud when she graces us with one of her works from "Booger Murphy".

Prepping you for the story is the creepy noise that the spinning hexagon on the planet Saturn is making. Don't believe me, look it up on Google.

Finally, PHP is proud to be working with Runaway Network. There are some other great shows on the network so be sure to check them out.

This month The Punk and the Pastor isn't a "horror" movie review show it is "dark fantasy."  A dumb distinction but one that we as total nerds feel obligated to make.

As usual our theme music comes from Ghost of Gelsomina  And the fist song that we hear is from The Candy Snatchers:

You are in for a treat!  This episode of Author Read Fiction features one of the great authors that will be in Punk Horror's first trade paperback, The Vault of Punk Horror, Ryan C. Thomas.  Ryan is a busy man; he has several short stories to his name and his first novel, The Summer I Died, behind him.  Ahead of him he has shorts in two new zombie collections from Permuted Press and Elements of the Apocalypse also from Permuted Press, as well as a new novel.  With all of the spare time he is also in the San Diego rockabilly band, The Buzzbombs.

Ryan has graced with his haunting story,"Passion Soup".  The tale of a driven young man who wants to win the local soup making contest so bad he is willing to sacrifice anything.  So sit back and enjoy the newest podcast from Punk Horror Press.

OK so this is a very special New Years Edition of The Punk and The Pastor, featuring our first annual "I'veTotally Seen All of Those" movie festival.  This year we have taken the plunge and watched all five of The Exorcist Films.

Also did something a little different with the linking of the music from last episode, but we will be going back to the links to the bands we play on the next Punk and the Pastor.

First up though was music from The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra with the Crouch End Festival Chorus, with their rendition of the theme from The Exorcist, "Tubular Bells."

The first movie up for review was The Exorcist:  The Version You've Never Seen Before featuring over ten minuets of additional footage this is hands down one of the most disturbing films ever made.

Following that was music from Ennio Morricone performed by Prague Philharmonic Orchestra with the Crouch End Festival Chorus, this time they are playing "Regan's Theme" from The Exorcist II: The Heretic, which not coincidentally was the second movie we reviewed.

The Exorcist II: The Heretic is an interesting film to say the least.  To classify it would be to say it is very much so like the Italian films of its time, but not quite as good.

To follow up that review we are blowing out "Regan"  by The Demonics.  This little slice of Bock-a-Billy hell has been a favorite of Gabriel's since the late 90's when he first heard it, and he hopes that it will be a favorite of yours.

Next up, the true sequel to The Exorcist, The Exorcist III.   The film made from the novel that is the real sequel to The Exorcist, Legion.  A brilliant book, that doesn't quite translate into a brilliant movie, but it, is the best of the sequels.

Then we feature music from Landspeedrecord! with their song "Let the Exorcism Begin".  You can find damn near everything that they have recorded at the website for free.  This is our favorite kind of band to be certain.  Click Here to get those downloads.

Finally we wrap this up by talking about both of the "prequels" to The Exorcist.  Exorcist:  The Beginning  and Dominion:  A Prequel to the Exorcist.  No to movies with the same plot and the same actors could be any different.

Last but not least, "Linda Blair" by Red Cross, another great band
